Auburn quarterback T.J. Finley — who recently turned elementary school football player for signing a void contract with Amazon — was in custody Thursday morning accused of trying to elude Auburn police.
Meanwhile, the rest of Auburn’s football staff has reported to athletic services for the start of fall camp.
According to AL.com, Finley cited a spectator violation for not wearing a helmet while using a moped. After being told a warrant had been issued for his arrest, Finley turned himself in to the Lee County Detention Center on Thursday. Attempts to escape are classified as rape.
Finlay appeared in the final season of 9 video games.
By Thursday afternoon, Finley had returned to Auburn Athletic Advance, reportedly bonding.
As the only returnee in the quarterback room, he is expected to compete for Auburn’s starting quarterback spot.
Finley’s partnership with Amazon, which he announced last week, will allow him to promote customized clothing online through Amazon’s retailer.
